Bailey has two international ISO 9001:2000 facilities. Bailey Hydropower Private Limited (BHPL) located in Chennai, India and SEA Hydropower Private Limited (SHPL) in Singapore. Capabilities include mass-production of welded and tie-rod hydraulic cylinders and components, CNC machining, robotic welding, climate controlled clean room assembly, extensive quality assurance programs for material and product testing, state-of-the-art in-house tube skiving and roller burnishing services. Bailey’s manufacturing facilities provide a steady flow of nearly a thousand different sizes of the Chief® and Bailey™ brand welded and tie-rod cylinders to Bailey Sales Corporation their North American sales center.

Bailey Quality Assurance and Product Testing Programs
Bailey strongly believes that the quality and reliability of their Chief® and Bailey™ cylinder products is directly related to the quality of the raw materials used in manufacturing. Bailey begins their process by selecting suppliers that can consistently meet their stringent material requirements. Only after materials are tested in Bailey’s own lab and approved, are they placed into their inventory control system. To further insure that their
products perform reliably, all cylinders produced are functionally tested in automated test stands for 5 complete strokes and pressure tested at 1.5 times the normal working pressure for a total of 6 minutes. This assures that the assembly process, weld joints and over all cylinder integrity is more than adequate. Burst tests and long term endurance testing of Bailey designed cylinders are also part of the QA program. Tie-rod cylinders alone have logged millions of endurance test cycles with burst test results achieving 5:1 or greater. Bailey is committed to providing the highest quality products through their integrated quality and manufacturing systems and continuous improvement ideology.
