About Hayward Industrial Products, Inc.
Hayward Industries was formed in 1923 by Irving M. Hayward. It was a small company, located in Brooklyn NY, making specialty metal valves and industrial flow control products. When Mr. Hayward retired in 1964 the company was acquired by its present management. With that, a new period of growth and diversification began, one that continues to this day. At that time it was realized that an opportunity existed for plastic rather than metal swimming pool filters and accessories and diversified into the swimming pool market. Rapid growth in the pool business resulted in the creation of Hayward Pool Products, Inc. At the same time, through a combination of acquisitions, modernization of the manufacturing facilities and product innovations, the industrial plastic valve and pipeline strainer business grew as well and became Hayward Industrial Products, Inc. Both groups are now part of Hayward Industries Inc. with headquarters in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA.
Hayward Industrial Products, Inc. presently consists of three divisions, Plastic Flow Control Systems, Separation Systems, and Filtration Systems.
Hayward Flow Control Systems is one of the largest manufacturers of industrial plastic valves in the United States and a major world-wide supplier to the many industries using plastic piping systems. In 1996 the division moved to a new 600,000 square foot facility in Clemmons, NC . In 1997 a line of plastic flow measurement instrumentation was added to the product line. Cell manufacturing technology is extensively employed by the Division to reduce manufacturing costs and improve customer service. There are distribution centers throughout the United States as well as Canada and England. The products are sold world-wide by independent stocking distributors.
Hayward Separation Systems manufactures metal pipeline strainers and gas/liquid separators in a 250,000 square foot facility in Elizabeth, NJ. Hayward is the worlds largest manufacturer of metal pipeline strainers. These strainers are used to protect process piping equipment by removing dirt and debris from liquid pipeline flow. Besides the Elizabeth, NJ location there are distribution centers in Canada and, for the European market, England. A network of manufactures representatives and distributors market the products worldwide.
Hayward Filtration is a world-wide manufacturer of an innovative line of bag and cartridge filters for liquid filtration. There are seven manufacturing facilities located in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. A total of 14 company owned sales offices and an independent distribution network serves Hayward Filtration customers in 45 countries. |
