Honeywell Sensing and Control
Company
Profile
At Honeywell Sensing and Control, we take the risks and high costs out of sensing and control.

You can trust us for:

  • The right products for your applications
  • Delivered on time
  • That work right the first time
  • And every time
  • Anywhere in the world
As the world's most experienced supplier of sensing and control solutions, we offer what people throughout the world need: ways to increase productivity, improve quality, save energy, enhance comfort, improve safety and security, protect the environment and reduce costs.

If the sensor, switch or control product is a defining element in the performance of your system or end product, your application is system critical. In other words, our product has to function correctly for your system or product to function properly-and in some cases to function at all.

Your application is also system critical when the sensor, switch or control is exposed to harsh environments, such as wide temperature swings, shock, vibration, caustic chemicals, continuous use, etc. Our products must endure and even thrive under these demanding conditions even when subjected to repeated or continuous exposure.

Selecting the right sensing and control product for the job has never been easier. Not only do we offer more sensors, switches and controls than any other supplier in the world, but we have the outstanding technical support staff and responsive service to back it up. So you can always get what you need, when you need it.

Sensors
Honeywell has been leading the way in sensor technology for over 40 years now. Since the introduction of the first proximity sensor in the 1950s, the successful commercial development of Hall-effect technology in the 1960s, and the introduction of the first solid-state pH electrode in the early 1980s, we have been setting the standards for advanced product development, product diversity and customer service. Here's a look at just some of what we have to offer.

Products:safety light curtains and laser scanners, controllers, VCSEL, pH, position, pressure, airflow, humidity and temperature sensors.
Industries served: safety/machine guarding, automobile engine management, data communications, infotech, medical instruments, furnaces and HVAC equipment.

Switches
Honeywell has been at the forefront of switching technology since we were the first to commercially develop the precision snap-action switch more than 60 years ago. Ever since we introduced the MICRO SWITCH brand of products in 1937, we have been recognized as the performance standard that all other switches are measured against. We continue in that tradition by continually improving the technology, cost-effectiveness and delivery of these hard-working, versatile electromechanical switches. You can choose from a variety of actuators and operating characteristics for an almost unlimited variety of applications.

Products: precision snap-action, environmentally protected, limit, toggle, and interlock switches.
Industries served: commercial and military aviation, appliances, industrial equipment, computer and business equipment, thermostats and conveyors.

Control Products
We provide products and solutions that control and manage vital industrial process equipment. These embedded and standalone products are applied in a variety of process industries and manufacturing operations.

Products: actuators, controllers/programmers, recorders (strip chart, circular chart and video), modular systems, analytical instrumentation, flame safe-guard/burner controls, industrial actuators and Wintriss press controls.
Industries served: water treatment, food & beverage, manufactured goods, thermal processing, biotech/pharmaceutical, power generation, semiconductor and metal forming & stamping.

Honeywell Sensing and Control is part of the Honeywell Industrial Control business. Our headquarters are located in Freeport, IL, and we have manufacturing facilities in Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Mexico, Scotland, France, Germany, China and Korea.
