SHOCKLOG™
The ShockLog™ range of electronic tri-axial shock, vibration and environmental recorders enable you to reduce or eliminate the cost of product damage caused by mishandling, inappropriate storage and transportation mishaps. Their compact and self-contained design ensures they can be fitted directly to your product or packaging to record physical impacts, vibration and environmental conditions throughout an entire journey or storage period. Used in an unlimited number of product applications and industry sectors that ship or store items of high value or where the intrinsic value to the customer receiving damaged products is potentially high.

The ShockLog™ Key Features:

  • User selectable operating ranges.
  • Detailed recording of up to 400 events.
  • Up to 12 months battery life.
  • Records in Velocity or Acceleration modes.
  • Flexible recording modes.
  • Optional external sensors.
  • Optional external power interface.
  • Date & Time stamping.
  • User-programmable warning and alarm thresholds.
  • Non-volatile memory.
  • LED indicators for warning and alarm status.
  • Completely self-contained (battery operated).
A battery life of up to 12 months allows you to understand the entire supply chain life of your product and the conditions it experiences. More importantly it tells you when incorrect physical handling, poor quality packaging or inappropriate temperature and humidity control will have damaged the quality of your product, your reputation and your cashflow. The comprehensive Windows™ based software program allows the user to program your own wake up, warning and alarm levels and frequency of data collection. When a programmed impact level is exceeded a visual alarm will alert you as well as storing the data for future analysis.

The ShockLog™ range of products are utilised by a wide range of industry sectors and major multi-national companies that includes:

NASA - Boeing Rocketdyne Inc, prime contractors for the Space Shuttle main engines, have selected the RD298 ShockLog™ electronic shock recorder to monitor road transport of the engines. By replacing their previously used mechanical shock recorders, Boeing engineers are benefiting from the easy set up process, improved reliability and reduced time spent on analysing data.

Pauwels Power Transformers - Monitoring of physical shock is a key requirement when shipping large power transformers around the world. Major Belgian manufacturer, Pauwels are just one of the world's major transformer manufacturers to routinely use the ShockLog™ F5 as their standard recording device. Specially designed for this application, the F5 model filters out the potentially confusing high frequency impact signals that can result when monitoring shipments of products with large areas of exposed metal.

Siemens (Oxford) Magnet Technology Ltd - Transit damage to hi-tech medical diagnostic equipment can be expensive, often leading to delayed installations and patient treatment. Siemens (Oxford) Magnet Technology Ltd, one of the worlds leading producers of the resonance magnets used in MIR scanners, are able to rapidly and effectively identify the likelihood of such damage and the potential financial loss by fitting the RD317 Micro ShockLog™ recorders to their magnets prior to despatch.
