| Micronetics,Inc.'s Mission
Through technology, intellect and skill Micronetics, Inc. designs and manufactures the most reliable, innovative and predictable RF microwave building block components and test equipment in the industry. Micronetics RF components, integrated subassemblies and test equipment are used in a variety of defense, aerospace and commercial applications. There are seven divisions within the Micronetics, below is an outline of each division’s core competency.
Noise Sources
Micronetics Noise Products Group provides a wide variety of noise sources used for improving and calibrating wireless communications. Products rangefrom embedded coaxial, waveguide and surface mount noise source modules usedas built in test (BIT) to monitor receiver performance to calibrated noisesources and subassemblies used to measure noise figure using noise figure metersor SOIC mixed signal automated test equipment (ATE) systems. Micronetics noisesources are also used for multiple applications such as A/D dithering, encryption,Jitter of optical interfaced devices, and radio frequency jamming. Microneticsalso features a state of the art noise source calibration lab.
Noise Generator Equipment
Micronetics Test Solutions Group manufactures a wide variety of precision noisegenerator, Eb/No Generator, C/N Generator and power meters. These productsare designed to accurately test satellite modems and digital radios for BERperformance in the presence of Gaussian noise or AWGN.
Voltage Controlled Oscillators
Micronetics VCO Products Group offers precise signal sources within a givenfrequency range which generate sinusoidal signals in frequency bands operatingfrom 50 MHz to 7.8 GHz. These voltage controlled oscillators are availablefor both commercial use and ruggedized for military and aerospace applications. These VCOs are available in wide and narrow bands, in miniature and subminiaturesizes, surface mount, tape and reel packaging and hermetic packaging.
Receiver Components
Micronetics Receiver Components Group specializes in high reliability militaryand commercial microwave digital switches, phase shifters, attenuators andintegrated assemblies.
High Power MicrowaveComponents
Enon Microwave, a division of Micronetics, specializes in high power microwavePIN diode switches and limiters as well as high power microwave componentsand subsystems testing services.
Highly Integrated Microwave Assemblies
Microwave Concepts (Micro-Con), a division of Micronetics, specializes in highly integrated and high reliability microwave subassemblies. Micro-con’s technologies are ideal for applications where small size and high reliability are critical such as airborne military radar and airborne direct broadcast satellite (DBS) receivers. Micro-Con also produces high quality low noise amplifiers (LNA’s) for military and commercial applications.
Switch Filter Banks
The Microwave Video systems (MVS) division of Micronetics specializes in high reliability microwave switch filter banks. These products are used in a wide variety of military and commercial products and test systems.
Manufacturing Capabilities
Micronetics, Inc.'s manufacturing, an ISO 9001:2000 certified facility, features a 1,000 square foot Class 100,000 clean room for production of hybrid assemblies, along with a full range of RF testing and computer aided design capabilities. In addition Micronetics has 3 other microwave design, assembly and test facilities in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey. Micronetics’ products are calibrated with standards traceable to the NIST. Micronetics is also approved for: MIL-I-45208 (inspection), MIL-M-38510 (manufacturing), MIL-C-45662 (calibration).
Micronetics, Inc.'s Patented Technologies
Micronetics, Inc. has received several US patents for its technology over the past few years. The first patent was for the design and manufacturing methodology of their MicroSource low phase noiseVCO. The second was for the MicroCal™ Module, a one-of-a-kind integrated circuit that facilitates self-monitoring in virtually all types of wireless equipment, including mobile handsets, subscriber units and base stations. They were also awarded a third patent covering the method and apparatus for verifying the integrity of smart antenna systems that are being deployed in cellular, PCS and Wireless Local Loop systems. |
