Redlake
Company
Profile
For over 40 years Redlake has helped to improve automotive safety, protect our nation, contributed to scientific/medical achievements, and lowered manufacturing costs by providing high-speed and industrial cameras to just about every industry you can think of. Redlake cameras are ideal for applications such as:
  • Automotive, Crash, Airbag and Component Safety Testing
  • Machine Vision / Semiconductor
  • Production / Manufacturing
  • Life Sciences
  • Remote Sensing
  • Research, Design and Test
  • Range, Aerospace and Ballistics

The result of a merger between Redlake Imaging and Eastman Kodak MASD, Redlake is the only company to offer a complete line of high-speed and industrial cameras to meet virtually every high-performance imaging need.

High Speed Digital Imaging – Motion Cameras

Their high-speed cameras solve problems, save time and cut costs by providing imaging at very high frame rates. Use Redlake high-speed cameras to record and play back problems that are too fast to the human eye to see. Recording at very high frame rates, Redlake motion cameras let you slow the motion and analyze details in a variety of industries, such as:

  • Research, Design and Test – Superb light sensitivity, robust features and long recording times make Redlake motion cameras versatile analytical solutions. Availability of specialized analysis software helps users get more information from their recordings.
  • Range, Aerospace and Ballistics – Using the combination of high frame rates and onboard memory for ballistic tests, missile intercepts and projectile impacts are captured from start to finish. Redlake cameras work seamlessly with IRIG timing systems to precisely control and synchronize multiple systems — even when located miles apart.
  • Manufacturing – Production line diagnostics. Redlake cameras pay for themselves by recording high-speed problems on the production line for slow-motion diagnosis and repair.
  • Automotive – Vehicle impact testing, on-board and off-board airbag deployment, and safety component testing. Rugged Redlake systems handle impacts of 100+ Gs.

High Resolution Digital Imaging – MegaPlus Cameras

Redlake’s MegaPlus II family of cameras offers the versatility of CameraLink and Firewire, support for multiple camera heads on a single controller, inter-line transfer and full-frame high-resolution camera heads (color and monochrome). Pre-processing software, such as flat field correction and gamma correction, contribute to its’ superior image quality in applications such as:

  • Machine Vision – Semiconductor wafers are becoming larger with smaller features, thus requiring higher resolution cameras. MegaPlus II cameras deliver with superior image quality and resolutions up to 11 mega pixels. Robust image processing algorithms, such as flat field correction, make the MegaPlus II perfect for flat panel display (FPD) and plasma display panel (PDP) inspection.
  • Life Sciences – High dynamic range, quantum efficiency and sensitivity are paramount for extracting details from X-ray imaging and for Fluorescein Angiography in ophthalmology, making their 12-bit images and low noise cameras an excellent fit for these applications.
  • Remote Sensing – High resolution and high dynamic range are essential to successful agricultural inspection, environmental assessment, and mapping. Redlake’s 3CCD color cameras are available in three formats - RGB, CIR, and RGB/CIR. Accurate alignment of the sensors provide true color fidelity and optimum image quality.
