Toroid Corporation is a privately held corporation with sales, design and manufacturing in its 20,000 square foot building in Salisbury, Maryland. It was founded in 1982 and the first to introduce the toroidal power transformer commercially into the U.S. market. Gunnar Ennerfelt, its president and owner, holds an MSEE degree from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The company has a controlling interests in / cooperation agreements with transformer manufacturers in Brazil, Costa Rica, Czech Republic and China
