Fast Palletizer Robot: KUKA KR 40 PA
The robot is the industry's fastest case packing robot and is constructed using a carbon fiber composite. This unique material makes the robot arm lighter, faster and less expensive thereby ultimately increasing the customer's throughput. The new robot delivers the flexibility of a fully programmable robot solution, at rates normally associated with CAM driven mechanisms. Its carbon fiber design enables high speeds with the largest work envelope in industry. "Robotic packaging and palletizing is reshaping the whole supply chain. Our customers want the flexibility of a robot with the highest possible pack rates and the KR40 delivers with the industry's best performance." The KUKA KR 40 PA four-axis palletizing robot is the third mechanism in KUKA Robotics' supply chain automation lineup to utilize carbon fiber material. The robot's base, which houses 3 of the unit's 4 motors, is made of ductile cast iron giving it stability and strength. With these motors designed into the base and the upper arm being made of carbon fiber composite KUKA has transferred the bulk of the robot's weight to its lower structure and lightened its upper arm. The lighter weight in the arm keeps the inertial forces low allowing it to move quicker with higher accelerations and decelerations. Its unique work envelope also enables it to be used in homogenous & mixed palletizing, as well as high-speed conveyor-tracking material handling applications. The robot's 40kg payload capacity and 2091mm reach supports both 800mm and 1000mm pallet applications. The KR 40 PA is the first of its type to have a fully integrated energy supply system, thus saving the customer time and expense. If necessary, an additional energy system can be added at any time, however. The final element of this practical, high-performance system solution for the logistics and palletising industry is the service-proven KUKA KR C2 robot controller.

Arc welding robot: KUKA KR16 L6 ARC
With the KR 16 L6 ARC, KUKA offers an attractively-priced robot that is specially optimized for arc welding. With its enormous reach of up to 1.9 m, it can access even the most distant weld seams. KUKA offers attractively priced bundles consisting of positioning tables – tried-and-tested positioners used in the automotive industry – and the arc welding robot. KUKA Roboter is thus able to supply an optimized complete solution for arc welding applications. Four different positioner types are available for these bundles, with payload capacities ranging from 500 kg to 1000 kg. The bundles are available in Basic (robot + positioner) and Extended (additional positioner) versions. The bundles contain all the components which are required to operate the robot and the relevant positioner(s).

Robot for high payloads: KUKA KR240 Series 2000 (for 240kg)
The increased load-bearing capacity means that Series 2000 robots can carry heavier tools, e.g. guns or grippers. Alternatively, they can move larger loads.
