Flat Wire Conveyor Belt

Flat wire conveyor belts offer a flat conveying surface and a maximum open area for free air flow or water drainage. They are easy to clean and are extremely sanitary, especially when manufactured with Ashworth-recommended clinched edges. Clinched-edge treatment of these belts results in a number of additional user benefits which are fully outlined in the product technical bulletin.

All welded selvage belts over 24 inches in width feature the resistance welding of every other connector rod to the flat strip on the 2nd opening in from each edge of the belt. On true 1/2" x 1/2" mesh belts this weld is on every 3rd connector rod. This provides for greater strength and eliminates belt shrinkage under heavy loads without restricting flexibility of the belt. Upon special request, belts 24" and under can be supplied with internal welds.

Woven Wire Belt

Woven wire belt is constructed of individual wires mounted on cross rods which can be driven by side chains and sprockets. The aperture size can be altered by fitting washers or spacing pieces. The construction allows for easy cleaning, is virtually non-clogging and has a smooth even top surface allowing articles to move freely.

Compound close mesh woven wire belt has close mesh, firm belt and high tensile strength.

This type of woven wire belting can use the thickest wire diameter and provides the highest tension. Smooth belt surface is appropriate for transferring unstable items. The parts of highest strength can be used for reinforcing the edge and a net-type flange can be easily installed.

Features and uses:
These wire belts are made up of very close meshes and smooth flat surfaces, making them ideal for carrying very fine or small articles and especially suitable for supporting unstable items.

Applications include:

Wire Conveyor Belt

Wire Belt for conveyor includes a light-weight, spiral wire belt for tough applications. It is used to convey glass, metals and industrial products, even food, through furnaces and ovens in heating or cool environment.

Wire conveyor belt can be manufactured to any width or length, to withstand temperatures as cold as -250 centigrade and as high as 1200 centigrade. Wire Belt can be custom designed for all conveying needs and requirements.

Spiral Wire Belt

Spiral Wire Belts are used through a variety of industries from food processing to heat treatment. Wire belt patterns include: Balance, Compound, Duplex, Chain Driven, Baking Bands, etc.

Spiral wire belting makes the premier material for the major conveyor applications.

Wire conveyor belt is made of various metals which will withstand both atmospheric and chemical corrosion, or of any alloy which will resist heat treating furnace temperatures. To eliminate any danger of product contamination, stainless steel wire belts are recommended.

Balanced Spiral Wire Belts:
Balanced Spiral Belts are the most widely used of all our belts being suitable for a wide range of applications. The construction of the belt gives minimal contact with article being conveyed; resists stretching and contraction thus having longer life; true running; allows free air-flow; temperature tolerant.

Uses: Balanced spiral wire belts is suitable for washing, drying baking or heating and cooling operations. Also for glass annealing.

Flat Spiral Wire Belts:
The close mesh and the smooth flat surface of the Flat Spiral Belt make it ideal for general conveying of a wide nature where good drainage is not required. Its high tensile strength makes it particularly suitable for high temperature work.

Uses: This kind of spiral wire belts are for side feeding, ploughing off, feeding industrial furnaces.

Balanced Wire Belt:
Balanced wire belt featuring crimped wire construction makes the economical belt with high tensile strength and minimal tendency to creep to either side on the drive pulley.
