Nitrocellulose Cotton

Nitrocellulose (also called cellulose nitrate or guncotton) is main raw material for manufacturing paints, guitar lacquers, wood vanishes and inks. Generally speaking, industrial nitrocellulose is usually damped by water and organic solvents for reducing rate of explosion or self-ignition. Damped nitrocellulose can be solid or liquid depending on the amount of damping agent used.

Nitrocellulose Chips

Nitrocellulose chips are small and white flakes of plasticized nitrocellulose cotton which are processed by kneading, calendering and slicing up. Their big difference lies in water content - the cotton shares far more water percentage than plasticized chip does. Nitrated chips are soluble in alcohol or organic solution such as benzene, toluene, ketone and ester.

 

Nitrocellulose chips have similar feature as nitrocellulose cotton like excellent film-forming properties. They are main option for manufacturing nail polish, nitrocellulose lacquer, paints, inks, leather finish, wood vanish and other fields.

Nitrocellulose Membrane

Nitrocellulose membrane is a 100% unsupported nitrocellulose media for nucleic acid and protein detection in research and diagnostic applications. It features high binding capacity, high tensile strength and hydrophobicity. For this reason, the nitrated membrane will not tear, rip or crack during transfers.

 

Nitrocellulose membrane is broadly applied to western blots, southern blots, northern blots, nucleic acid and protein dot blots, and flow through diagnostic tests and dip stick tests.

Flash Paper

Flash paper is a must for magician and theatrical. It is easy to ignite into a brilliant flame when encountered by match or lighter. The nitrated paper vanishes immediately into a ball of light.

 

Nitrated paper can be customized according to special orders. They are easy to cut into any small size with scissors or knives. Burning speed is fast.

Flash String

Flash string will burn quickly and completely when get in touch with lighter or spark. There will be no smoke or ash during the ignition. It is often used as a fuse for lighting other items like firecrackers.

 

Nitrocellulose string should be store in wet conditions and will become a little yellow at the same time. Dry the nitrated string before using and the string will be white again. It will cause no degradation although stored for many years.
