Our newest development is the PythonX Structural Steel Beam Fabrication System; however, we also supply CNC machining centers, beam drill lines, punch lines and angle lines. Decades of experience serving the needs of structural steel fabricators with this traditional equipment gave us the insight and inspiration that led to PythonX as a way of 'doing things better.'

Structural Steel Plasma Cutting

Think plasma cutting is complicated? Think again. PythonX's PC- based operator interface accepts part detail files output by Tekla XSTEEL and other structural design packages. It uses the part file to determine the most efficient cutting sequence and paths. No operator layout, marking or programming is needed. He just pushes the 'START' button and PythonX's high-definition Hypertherm plasma torch cuts and drills all required features on the workpiece in a single pass.

Structural Steel Beam Drill Line

If all you need to do is drill bolt holes in structural beams and cut them to length, you're in good shape. Traditional beam drill lines and bandsaws will meet your needs. If your fabrication needs are more varied than that, what production equipment makes more sense for you?

Tekla Detailed Structural Fabrication

Software programs used for structural steel detailing that can export a .dstv file –Tekla Structures, SDS/2, StruCad and others – can be a great help to structural steel fabricators. How? Modern fabrication machinery can read the .dstv files and extract information used to instruct it where to place a certain feature, like a bolt hole on a structural beam, as well as the dimensions of that feature.

Structural Steel Fabricating Machinery

PythonX handles a greater variety of structural sections fabricating machine. From large W36x300 beams down to 3"x3" angle, it typically processes 95% of a structural fabrication shop's material requirements. 

PythonX can pierce material up to 1.25" thick for holes and slots. It can edge cut material up to 2" thick for cut-to-length, copes and notches. On thick column sections where a traditional bandsaw may "wander" through the cut and start to break off teeth, PythonX gives you perfectly square cuts that easily meet an 80%+ bearing requirement.
