Message No. 20845, Started by kriakkk on 10/04/09

Hi,

Im designing a gear train. The speed must be reduced from 29500 to 8900. So im using two gears of sizes 16 and 53(pitch circle dias). Can i use 25 degree pressure angle for pinion and 20 degree pressure angle for gear. Will there be any problem by using so. And the module im taking 1 for both gears. i never read that the pressure angles for both mating gears should be same. So to avoid inteference im planning to take 25 degree nd 20 degree for pinion and gear respectively..
