I am Arasu working in hot rolling mill as design and development engineer.

Objective of problem.

To identify thermal conductivity change with respect to time.

Problem in brief.

Consider a cube made by a steel its all surfaces temperature are equal (say T=1000 ° C  ,K= 50 W/M K). What is time taken to reach 1000 ° C at the mid point of cube?

You can also consider as 2D thermal transient problem, give me idea to solve the problem theoretical or using ANSYS.
