Occasionally, I need to connect a chart recorder or datalogger to an input device ( say a temperature guage) with a 4-20 milliamp analog "output".

The recorder might have a 0-1 or 0-10 volt "input" range.

How can I connect a milliamp output to a voltage input? I Know a resister is shunted across the + and - connectors on the recorder.

Can you help me with the conversion formula...
