Current Topic:
AutoCAD vs. ProEng.

Seems a new discussion topic has arisen after this very, very old posting was resurrected.  After years of spending about 5 hours a day doing CAD work equally on ProE and SW, I find SW to be much more powerful.  I can get the same work done much faster with SW.  It's efficiently organized, intuitive, forgiving, etc.  And now SW has a 64 bit system for 64 bit Windows (if you have a 64 bit PC) that can access massive files.  If your last experience with SW was several years ago, you may want to revisit it.  It has gone through some extensive and powerful improvements.  They also have an FEA addon called COSMOSWorks, which has gotten to be quite good.

Regards,  John Reggie
