Surely, if the corrosion took place in storage as stated in your first note, you have these options:
1. Provide a coating e.g., grease or plastic film that will protect it from the storage environment.
2. Blister pack the product.
3. See if you can improve the storage environment.
The question of going to a new alloy only applies if the operating environment (not storage environment) is aggressive. Should yu not find out if this is the case before spending a lot of effort and money?
