O.K.  I'm glad you filled in the blanks.  Exactly, m can only be measured after the collision of photons.  m takes on a different personality when it is held by a photon.  See, photons have mass, but it looks and feels different to us lowly humans which are stuck in our world of heavy, motionless, objects.

Are there browny points awarded for creative writing?

I appreciate everyones patients with my hairbrained scheme.  Thanks for at least entertaining the idea and helping me make some sense of it.  I thoroughly enjoyed your reply.
