Current Topic:
aluminum vs. steel in brake disc
Paul,
How would i fabricate/ where could i buy such alum/ceramic composite rotors?  I am really interested in that idea!  we have actually put thermocouples in some pads ( we do use pads specially for aluminum, i believe they are organic) and tested typical temperatures during a few runs.  of course this has a fair amount of error.  so we could just use an ordinary lathe?  so far a "brake dyno" hasn't come together for us either.  Also, what is MMC?
It helps, thanks.
Caroline
