Current Topic:
What Programming Language is best for Mechanical Engineers?
wow! i really do appreciate all your information and givng me a clearer perspective as to what program suits me better. maybe you can help me further by giving you these details.

i like to use a programming language that is:

=open source (free and can be distributed freely, even for commercial use)
=lots of documentation, tutorials, help areas readily available
=must be multiparadigm as much as possible that supports object oriented, procedural programming, etc.
=can create stand alone programs or applications but at the same time should be portable.
=supports graphics and animation development
=with visual tools
=not so steep learning curve
=can work on most platforms

i hope you can help me decide :(  once again i seek for your wisdom, my gurus. thanks a lot!
