Current Topic:
Fire fighting water flow along ground.
The distance travelled depends on several factor, such as
- the surface texture and smoothness; is it a concrete, sand or mud surface?
- Is there a slope or is the ground level?
- What is the velocity of the water when it strikes the ground, and what is the angle of incidence?

API atandards give you some guidance, but to apply it you need answers to the above questions.
