Current Topic:
relation between different hardness units

Sir,

I want to know the relation between rockwell hardness and brinell hardness number.

For example 200 BHN = how many HRC?

Is there any specific formula for this?

Also , please let me know the effect of Silicon in EN-8 steel. One sample I had seen with 0.2% Si which to my knowledge would slow down the cooling rate and hence fully hardened structure would not be possible. Please tell me if my view point is correct or not.
