Roark 5th Edition has this solution for stress. Stress depends onthe a/b ( width to length) ratio.  General  case is  stress = Bqb^2/t^2  whre t is thickness; B depends ona/b ratio; B varies from0.018 to .760; if u do nothave  book send the a/b ratio
