Current Topic:
Area of Geometrical Shape
Hi,

There might be a way to write a script within ProE to generate 3000 parts with varying parameters easily. We have not personally done so, though.

Another way is to break the area down into rectangles, triangles, and half-circles or pie shapes, if the geometry is simple enough to do so. Figure out the area of each section symbolicly and add them all up to get the total area. You can then easily use Excel to crank out the areas for 3000 shapes by changing the parameters.

Better yet, send us an image so we can take a look. We can't read .prt files just yet so please make it gif, jpg, eps, wmf,..., something that a typical Windows application can read.

Regards,

eFunda Staff

ps: It's GOOD to have ProE, isn't it? Dr Funda misses it...
