Ethylene-Propylene (EP) is a copolymer of ethylene and propylene. It has good to excellent in heat, oxidation, ozone and weather aging resistance. It has good electrical resistivity, as well as resistance to polar solvents, such as water, acids, alkalies, phosphate esters and many ketones and alcohols. Its resistance to acids and chlorines are less than ideal.

O-Ring material Ethylene-Propylene is sometimes ok for static seal but not for dynamic seal in the environment containing chemicals such as Concentrated Ammonium Hydroxide, Butyraldehyde, Dibenzyl Ether, Freon 12, Hydrochloric Acid, Linsed Oil, Oleic Acid, Peanut Oil, Radiation, Red Oil, Sulfur Trioxide, Tartaric Acid.
