30% Glass Fiber Reinforced Flame-Retardant Grade PA is a subcategory of Polyamide. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 1200 to 1700 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 1160 to 1400 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 18800 to 22000 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 28300 to 31000 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 1.5 to 2.2 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 1.7 to 3 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.62 to 1.7. Its melting temperature ranges from 210 to 220 °C. Its molding pressure ranges from 12 to 25 MPa.
Polyamide, also known as PA, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. Common trade names are Ultramid and Zytel. nylon (PA 6) It has high lubricity and moderate strength. It is tough, inexpensive, but has poor dimensional stability due to water absorption (hygroscopic nature). PA is commonly used to make high-lubricity parts such as bearings, blow moldings molds, and clothing fabrics.
