Alloy With Polystyrene, 15% Glass Fiber Reinforced PPO is a subcategory of Polyphenylene Oxide. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its flexural modulus ranges from 450 to 500 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 10000 to 12000 MPa at break. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 1.1 to 1.3 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 5 to 8 %. Its hardness ranges from 106 to 110 Rockwell R. Its melting temperature ranges from 100 to 125 °C. Its molding pressure ranges from 10 to 40 MPa.

Polyphenylene Oxide, also known as PPO, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ashley. Although it resists many chemicals, it is easily attacked by some hydrocarbons. It has excellent dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, and high mechanical and dielectric strength. PPO is processable by conventional extrusion and injection molding equipment.
