10-20% Glass Fiber Reinforced PPS is a subcategory of Polyphenylene Sulfide. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 850 to 1200 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 900 to 1200 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 7500 to 14000 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 9500 to 20000 MPa. Its compressive strength ranges from 17000 to 20000 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 0.7 to 1.2 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 1 to 1.5 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.39 to 1.47. Its coefficient of thermal expansion ranges from 16 to 20 x 10-6/°C. Its melting temperature ranges from 275 to 285 °C.

Polyphenylene Sulfide, also known as PPS, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ryton. It has high temperature resistance (230 ºC continuous), low temperature endurance, good chemical resistance, and flame retardance. PPS can be used to make high performance electrical connectors and other high stress parts.
