30% Carbon Fiber EMI Shielding (conductive) PPS is a subcategory of Polyphenylene Sulfide. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 2500 to 3700 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 2450 to 3300 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 20000 to 27000 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 26000 to 36000 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 0.8 to 1.2 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 0.5 to 3 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.42 to 1.47. Its coefficient of thermal expansion ranges from 6 to 16 x 10-6/°C. Its melting temperature ranges from 275 to 285 °C. Its molding pressure ranges from 5 to 20 MPa.

Polyphenylene Sulfide, also known as PPS, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ryton. It has high temperature resistance (230 ºC continuous), low temperature endurance, good chemical resistance, and flame retardance. PPS can be used to make high performance electrical connectors and other high stress parts.
