40% PAN Carbon Fiber EMI Shielding (conductive) PPS is a subcategory of Polyphenylene Sulfide. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 4400 to 4800 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 3900 to 4100 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 26000 to 29000 MPa at break. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 1.2 to 1.5 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 1 to 1.5 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.46 to 1.49. Its melting temperature ranges from 275 to 285 °C.

Polyphenylene Sulfide, also known as PPS, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ryton. It has high temperature resistance (230 ºC continuous), low temperature endurance, good chemical resistance, and flame retardance. PPS can be used to make high performance electrical connectors and other high stress parts.
