55% Glass and Mineral Reinforced PPS is a subcategory of Polyphenylene Sulfide. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its melting temperature ranges from 275 to 285 °C.
Polyphenylene Sulfide, also known as PPS, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ryton. It has high temperature resistance (230 ºC continuous), low temperature endurance, good chemical resistance, and flame retardance. PPS can be used to make high performance electrical connectors and other high stress parts.
