Encapsulation Grades PPS is a subcategory of Polyphenylene Sulfide. It is specially formulated to encapsulation grades. Its coefficient of thermal expansion ranges from 18 to 18.2 x 10-6/°C. Its melting temperature ranges from 275 to 285 °C.
Polyphenylene Sulfide, also known as PPS, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ryton. It has high temperature resistance (230 ºC continuous), low temperature endurance, good chemical resistance, and flame retardance. PPS can be used to make high performance electrical connectors and other high stress parts.
