10 - 40% Talc Filled PP is a subcategory of Polypropylene. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 450 to 575 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 210 to 670 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 3545 to 5000 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 7000 to 9200 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 0.4 to 1.4 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 3 to 60 %. Its hardness ranges from 85 to 110 Rockwell R. Its specific gravity ranges from 0.97 to 1.27. Its coefficient of thermal expansion ranges from 42 to 80 x 10-6/°C. Its melting temperature ranges from 158 to 168 °C. Its molding pressure ranges from 10 to 20 MPa.

Polypropylene, also known as PP, is a thermoplastic, (crystalline), polymer. Common trade names are Marlex HGL and Fortilene 1800 series (FDA materials). homopolymer Its key attributes are high lubricity, high resistance to flexing (excellent material for living hinges), excellent dielectric strength and chemical resistance, good impact strength, and high solvent resistance.
