20 - 30% Long Glass Fiber Reinforced PP is a subcategory of Polypropylene. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 750 to 900 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 550 to 800 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 7500 to 14100 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 10000 to 22800 MPa. Its compressive strength ranges from 6500 to 14400 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 3.5 to 7.8 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 2.1 to 2.2 %. Its hardness ranges from 105 to 117 Rockwell R. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.04 to 1.17.

Polypropylene, also known as PP, is a thermoplastic, (crystalline), polymer. Common trade names are Marlex HGL and Fortilene 1800 series (FDA materials). homopolymer Its key attributes are high lubricity, high resistance to flexing (excellent material for living hinges), excellent dielectric strength and chemical resistance, good impact strength, and high solvent resistance. It is inexpensive and electroplatable, but it is difficult to paint, print on, or bond to. It will be attacked by fuming nitric acid and degraded by UV and ionizing radiation. PP can be used to make medical syringes, beakers, and parts for auto interiors.
