PSU is a subcategory of Polysulfone. Its elongation at break ranges from 60 to 120 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.29 to 1.3. Its molding pressure ranges from 10 to 20 MPa.
Polysulfone, also known as PSU, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ultrason. poly(phenylene-sulfone) It is an expensive material. It is electroplatable and has high strength, good toughness, good dielectric strength, and dimensional stability. It is commonly used in electric connectors.
