30% Carbon Fiber EMI Shielding (conductive) PSU is a subcategory of Polysulfone. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 2150 to 2800 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 1900 to 2300 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 23000 to 23500 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 31000 to 35000 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 1.2 to 1.8 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 1.5 to 2 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.36 to 1.7. Its molding pressure ranges from 10 to 20 MPa.
Polysulfone, also known as PSU, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ultrason. polysulfone It is an expensive material. It is electroplatable and has high strength, good toughness, good dielectric strength, and dimensional stability. It is commonly used in electric connectors.
