Dividing Head
The illustration below shows a mill table dividing head. A dividing head is used to turn a turned work piece by a specified amount so that hole patterns and other axially symmetric patterns can be milled.

 

 


 
Rotary Table
Below is a rotary table mounted on a mill table. Rotary tables are similar to dividing heads with the axis oriented vertically, but rotation is continuous rather than in discrete increments.
