Below a mill table vise is illustrated. Mill vises are commonly used to fixture rectangular work pieces on a mill table.

For more flexible fixturing of work pieces, step clamps can be used. The T-shaped pieces fit into corresponding female grooves in the mill table. The stepped blocks mate together and height adjustments are possible depending upon which steps are used.
