Partitions are used to divide a larger area into smaller, separate workspaces. Partitions usually mean to be temporary. They are often made of light weight materials and can be disassembled, stacked and/or rolled up when not in use. Common partitions have many different constructions such as curtains, panels, meshes, screens, movable walls, office cubicles, and room partitions.
Typically, partitions are made of metals such as aluminum, steel, fabric, glass, vinyl, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), wire, or wood. The partitions can usually be custom made to specific dimensions. Other special specifications of partitions many include fire-rated, insulated, sound-rated, and portability requirements.
