Vamac is the tradename of a class of Ethylene Acrylic elastomer (AEM). It offers a temperature range of -40F to +300F. It provides low temperature flexibility for automotive applications including automatic transmission seals, power steering seals and gear box seals. It also exhibits excellent resistance to weathering, ozone and air aging.

O-Ring material Vamac is sometimes ok for static seal but not for dynamic seal in the environment containing chemicals such as Acetic Anhydride, Cyclohexane, Ethyl Ether, Freon 11 (M), Freon 113, Freon TF, Kerosene, Mineral Oils, Stoddard Solvent.
