Ceramic and Glass Fiber Reinforced PA is a subcategory of Polyamide. The additative is added during the manufacturing process. Its flexural modulus ranges from 1800 to 2150 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 25000 to 30000 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 39000 to 45000 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 1.6 to 2 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 3 to 4 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.59 to 1.81.
Polyamide, also known as PA, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. Common trade names are Ultramid and Zytel. nylon alloys It has high lubricity and moderate strength. It is tough, inexpensive, but has poor dimensional stability due to water absorption (hygroscopic nature). PA is commonly used to make high-lubricity parts such as bearings, blow moldings molds, and clothing fabrics.
