30% Glass Fiber Reinforced Flamed-Retardant Grade PA is a subcategory of Polyamide. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 1000 to 1400 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 1200 to 1250 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 18000 to 19000 MPa at break. Its compressive strength ranges from 15000 to 21000 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 1 to 1.5 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 2 to 3.5 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.55 to 1.6. Its melting temperature ranges from 195 to 217 °C.
Polyamide, also known as PA, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. Common trade names are Ultramid and Zytel. nylon (PA 612) It has high lubricity and moderate strength. It is tough, inexpensive, but has poor dimensional stability due to water absorption (hygroscopic nature). PA is commonly used to make high-lubricity parts such as bearings, blow moldings molds, and clothing fabrics.
