Heat Stabilized PA is a subcategory of Polyamide. The additative is added during the manufacturing process. Its elastic modulus ranges from 485 to 550 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 420 to 440 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 12000 to 13500 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 15000 to 16000 MPa. Its compressive strength ranges from 16000 to 18000 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 0.7 to 0.9 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 20 to 30 %. Its hardness ranges from 110 to 115 . Its specific gravity ranges from 1.15 to 1.17. Its melting temperature ranges from 227 to 238 °C.
Polyamide, also known as PA, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. Common trade names are Ultramid and Zytel. nylon (PA 6), cast It has high lubricity and moderate strength. It is tough, inexpensive, but has poor dimensional stability due to water absorption (hygroscopic nature). PA is commonly used to make high-lubricity parts such as bearings, blow moldings molds, and clothing fabrics.
