Flexible Polyester is a subcategory of Polyester. It is specially formulated to flexible. Its tensile strength ranges from 500 to 3000 MPa at break. Its elongation at break ranges from 40 to 310 %. Its hardness ranges from 84 to 94 Shore D. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.01 to 1.2.
Polyester is a thermoplastic or thermoset polycondensate. Common trade names are Valox and Celanex. cast It has excellent dimensional stability, high dielectric strength, and good toughness. It has moderate chemical resistance, low resistance to strong acids and bases, and is notch sensitive. However, it is not recommended for outdoor use or in hot water. Polyester is very popular in making clothing and handles.
