45% Glass Reinforced PTA is a subcategory of Polyphthalamide. The additative is added by weight during the manufacturing process. Its flexural modulus ranges from 2100 to 2160 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 38000 to 39400 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 54000 to 55100 MPa. Its Izod Impact strength ranges from 2.1 to 2.5 J/cm. Its elongation at break ranges from 2 to 2.6 %. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.56 to 1.6. Its molding pressure ranges from 5 to 15 MPa.
Polyphthalamide, also known as PTA, is a thermoplastic polycondensate.
