Its compressive strength ranges from 11800 to 15600 MPa. Its elongation at break ranges from 6 to 80 %. Its hardness ranges from 85 to 88 Rockwell M. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.37 to 1.46. Its melting temperature ranges from 220 to 230 °C. Its molding pressure ranges from 6 to 20 MPa.
Polysulfone, also known as PSU, is a thermoplastic polycondensate. The most common trade name is Ultrason. poly(ethersulfone) It is an expensive material. It is electroplatable and has high strength, good toughness, good dielectric strength, and dimensional stability. It is commonly used in electric connectors.
Other common Polysulfone (PSU) include Injection Molding, Flame-Retardant, Extrusion PSU, Mineral Filled PSU, Extrusion / Injection Molding Grade PSU, 20% Glass Fiber Reinforced PSU, 30% Carbon Fiber EMI Shielding (conductive) PSU, Injection Molding, Platable Grade PSU, PSU, 10% Glass Fiber Reinforced PSU, 20% Glass Fiber Reinforced PSU, 30% Carbon Fiber EMI Shielding (conductive) PSU, PSU, Unreinforced PSU, and Mineral Filled PSU.
