Casting Resin, Liquid PU is a subcategory of Polyurethane. It is specially formulated to casting resin, liquid. Its elastic modulus ranges from 10 to 100 MPa. Its flexural modulus ranges from 10 to 100 MPa. Its tensile strength ranges from 175 to 10000 MPa at break. Its flexural strength ranges from 700 to 4500 MPa. Its elongation at break ranges from 100 to 1000 %. Its hardness ranges from 10 to 13 Shore A. Its specific gravity ranges from 1.03 to 1.5. Its coefficient of thermal expansion ranges from 100 to 200 x 10-6/°C. Its molding pressure ranges from 0.1 to 5 MPa.
Polyurethane, also known as PU, is a thermoplastic or thermoset, (typically reinforced), polyadduct. Common trade names are Estane and Pellanthane. thermoset It has high impact resistance, dielectric strength, chemical resistance, and abrasion resistance. It can be made into films, solid moldings, or flexible foams. However, it becomes brittle with prolonged outdoor exposure. It is often used in automotive structural members, computer housings, furniture, and packaging foams.
Additional Information

Other common Polyurethane (PU) include Casting Resin, Unsaturated PU, Unreinforced Molding PU, 30% Long Glass Fiber Reinforced PU, Long Glass Reinforced Molding Compound PU, and 30% PAN Carbon Fiber EMI Shielding (conductive) PU.
